Privacy policy
Short version: we count plays, not people. Here's the longer version.
What we collect
You can browse without an account. When you vote, we store your receipt email, nominee selections, vote quantity, amount, payment reference, payment status and voting date. Chart admins use an email to sign in. Hosting and payment services may process technical information such as IP address, browser information and security logs.
Payments
Paystack provides secure checkout on the awards page. You do not need to open your inbox to pay. Paystack processes your email and payment details under its own privacy policy; Northern Billboard does not receive or store your full card details, PIN or bank login. We verify the payment reference, amount, currency and status before counting votes.
What we use it for
We use your email for payment receipts, linking ballots to enforce the daily voting limit, resolving payment enquiries and preventing abuse. It is not a public voter profile or an app login. We do not sell personal information or use voting emails for marketing. Necessary information is processed by Paystack and our hosting providers to deliver these services.
Chart data
The play counts shown on the chart are read from public pages on Spotify, Audiomack, YouTube and TikTok. They belong to the artists, not to us.
Storage on your device
We remember your colour theme and an unfinished ballot in browser storage so you can return to confirmation. The checkout access code is stored temporarily for the current browser session and removed after payment confirmation. Admin campaign edits and posting progress are saved on the admin's device. Clearing browser storage removes these local preferences, not a confirmed vote.
Retention & your rights
We keep ballot and payment records as needed to administer the awards, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal or accounting duties. Contact support@northernbillboard.com to request access, correction or deletion of your personal information. Some payment records may need to be retained; deleting contact details does not automatically reverse a valid vote or payment.
